“Celebrating nature through making art” sums up Botanical Mix founder Shane Friesenhahn. Shane discovered nature at a young age through all senses, growing up on a ranch in south Texas. He especially was attracted to the unique landscape that surrounded him as a playground of curiosities and possibilities. He learned gardening from his mother, providing fresh produce for his family of 5 and cementing his appreciation for nature.

As a teen, Shane’s knowledge of plants, flowers and other art forms - all self taught - organically grew, propelling him into providing floral small art commissions. Later, he expanded his business into the Dallas area, and with a modest team of 2 that eventually grew to 9, supplied botanical designs throughout the United States and abroad.

Shane’s passion for design was contagious, and Shane eventually added 2 more locations in downtown Dallas. Several decades later, Shane began experimenting in sculptural and painting as well to share his art with others. His work has been displayed in galleries, palaces, and numerous commercial projects around the globe.
