Rick Fairless, a proud native of Dallas, Texas, grew up in Irving with his younger brother Randy, surrounded by motorcycles and adventure. Starting at just nine years old, Rick and his friends spent countless hours riding through the woods and fields near their neighborhood, sparking a lifelong passion for bikes.
At 19, Rick began working at his uncle’s Roach Paint® stores, climbing the ranks from stock boy to the top sales representative. When Glidden acquired Roach Paint in 1988, Rick continued his streak as the #1 sales rep nationwide. However, by the mid-90s, the corporate grind wore thin, and Rick sought a new challenge.
His passion for Harley-Davidson customization and admiration for icons like Arlen Ness inspired him to pursue a dream: owning a motorcycle shop. Against all odds, in 1996, Rick opened Easyriders Dallas, which evolved into Strokers Dallas, a haven for custom motorcycles and bike enthusiasts.
Rick’s unwavering work ethic—never missing a day of work in over 45 years—and his love for creating some of the coolest custom bikes in the world have solidified his legacy. Visitors to Strokers Dallas can explore his incredible builds and enjoy his bar and grill, Strokers Ice House—a world-class biker destination.
